I enjoy this site very much, but it did take a bit of getting used to. Here are a few thoughts:

Perhaps you could make this dfn feedback group a "sticky" that everyone sees when they go to the "Recently Created" tab under "Groups." Or, if possible, default all new and existing users into the group. Or, at least, a "Discussion Forum: Open to All" between the "Home" and "Invite" buttons.

I realize it's a social networking site, but I think it needs a bit of centralization owing to the isolated nature of the community.

Also, more prominence to the big pay sites, PT, PKF, etc., to help them build their brands, perhaps allow them to offer dfn members special deals, etc.

Finally, maybe a stand alone "Stories" icon alongside "Albums," "Groups," etc. for text as well as text/picture stories.

Those are my thoughts. Keep up the great work!

Hi, Sheila :)

Thanks for your feedback, every kind of feedback is a valuable one so we do listen, but not always implement everything people say, of course :) For now we are waiting for the general plugins to be updated to the forth version of the engine so we can switch to thelatest incarnation of the engine which should have much more features and stuff available to users. For this wait we postpone any new implementations, if they are not trivial to do. As about the "sticky group" - I do not think it is necessary, really, cause we have a lot of things for a direct communication - like Abuse buttons everywhere or Contact us form, which many uses. If a person want to participate in the feedback group - he or she will do, and to force everyone into the group I do not think is a great idea :)

Also - we are more than welcome for the advertisers to come, but so far only John of PKF is advertising heavily, and his ads are gaining more weight than the standard ones, out of which we have so far not so much profit anyway, if at all :( If more people within our community decides to advertise here - of course we'll make some special deals witht hem and everything - but so far only PKF want to :)

As about stand alone Stories section - honestly, I dunno how to implement it, as for that we need to create some custom interface for the authors to publish their work or what? The most obvious choice is to have a group dedicated to stories - which we already have - where people are going to publish their work. Many do so in their blogs as well. Tell me in more details how do you see such section perform and I will think about it :) Thanks!

Hi: Thank you for your response!

About advertising, what I was trying to suggest is something that doesn't involve "advertising" per se, but an arrangement by which top sites like PT, PKF, AHW, are given prominent free placement on DFN, offer discounts (or similar) to DFN members and publicize DFN on their sites/materials. No money between you and the sites changes hands, but everyone benefits from the multiplier effect of growing audiences. And it also builds the erotic horror community generally, which, in the end, makes DFN stronger and more economically viable.

Those like PT and PKF who want to advertise on top of that by paying for more prominent placement, etc. can of course do so.

I see :) Well, we can work something out I guess, let the producers contact me with ideas :)

Can we have more sounds for the new chat room? In particular
some hanging related ones, the trap opening (the shutting door is more or less ok now for this) snapping neck, creaking rope as the
hanged person swings, slow hanging choking sound, stool chair being kicked away, sobbing female being noosed, sentence read out etc Other hanging fans may want to suggest some more.
The new chat room is very good! I like it!

I think that's a nice idea as well. Shooting sounds and all that. Our programmer is working on a list of bugs with the chat, the more 'critical' stuff. Once that is fixed, maybe we can do that, as it doesn't seem like it would be too difficult to import a few .wav files into the chat software. Glad you like it!

I wish there was a way to automatically follow comments on photos in someone else's albums and in groups that are not yours. Some sort of "watchlist" or "subscribe to this (photo) comment page" feature. Right now, only way to do this in any systematic way is to always bookmark them (to your browser). I do it all the time, but it's not really handy. I think the fact that you don't get notified of follow up comments often disturbs the emerging discussion in the comment section and it's confusing because many users don't seem to even realize that there will be no automatic notification. And then if you reply to some, they might never remember to come back to check it.

I think ideal and possibly easier way of implementing this sort of thing would be that if you could actually /reply/ to a comment, since right now you can only post a new comment. A reply would then create this notification in the same way than comments to own photos do now.

Pretty big and perhaps unrealistic idea. And I'd really like to see those bugs and other issues fixed first.

Hi Apple, I think is a really good idea. Will talk with programmer how to do it if possible.
