Some people might find this as a "turn off", but I was curious as to the extent of how much bodily fluid is released when someone is electrocuted in the chair. We all know that it is standard for the condemned prisoner to don a diaper while he or she is being electrocuted, but how much of a mess does it really make? I mean, do they empty their entire bladder when the juice hits. Is it possible to dedicate all over. I guess it really depends (no pun intended) on the prisoner and their specific bodily functions. I'm also interested in know what kind of diaper they are made to wear. Is it just like a regular brand you buy at the store?

yes, people mess themselves in the chair. In florida they stuff their butt with cotton and vasoline, and force them to a depends diaper. The amount depends on what they had for their last meal.

I've always wondered this myself, and have a morbid fascination with the subject,so much so,I've always wondered if some,if not all prisoners go the the chair intentionally with a full bladder.
I'm with Alan,in wondering if the electricity causes the prisoner to empty their bladder entirely.

Another thing that I am curious about is WHEN the prisoner urinates or deficates. I thought I read that when the electricity hits, the muscles tense hard and then when the power is shut off, very thing relaxes which in turns loosens up the bowels or bladder. Or is it the other way around where the electricity forces the fluids out of them at first jolt?
I sort of like the cotton and Vaseline idea. Something strangely erotic about that. Also, what a way to go. To spend your last remaining moments wearing something as humiliating as a diaper.

Very true. My understanding is that the bowels empty after the juice is turned off, but the cotton balls keep it from creating a messy diaper.

I would expect the prisoner to have wet him/herself as they are taken to the chair, our of sheer terror. But yes, the body I think will react after the current has been switched off

I've read somewhere that because the human body is not a good conductor, the electricity flowing through it, causes it to heat up to the point that blood and urine, and even shit and other bodily fluids will boil inside the body. If this is true, I wouldn't be at all surprised if someone being electrocuted would defecate and urinate while the current is flowing through them.

In 1935, when they electrocuted Mary Creighton in Sing Sing a prison guard severely burned his hands removing her body from the chair, she only wore a light gown to the chair, nothing else. He lifted her from under the right leg, the leg that the electrode was attached, Also autopsies revealed, there are blisters on the leg and anus of electrocuted prisoners.

I've read several accounts of electrocutions that all said they have to let the body cool down before they can touch it.
