They are doing a viral campaign. This is 3D motion software which usually goes for $500. The Pro Version, usually $1200 is $40. If enough people pre-buy it. Details at

Yeah, you may never use it, it supposedly has an easy learning curve though, some very big projects have been done with it, and it is well worth checking out.

If they do not hit the goal, everybody gets a refund (but not the software of course).

If you are thinking of doing serious animation you need to give this one a look.
