How did it start for you all?

First time I felt "wierd" was looking at those UFO magazines in the late 1970's as a kid.. they always had interesting artwork, and there was a scene of abducted people stored in tubes, I guess it was suspended animation, or perhaps dead and in a specimen tube, naked of course...

Watching an episode of Star Blazers a few years later kicked it off. Watching Starsha's sister die and fall out of her space capsule. I must have been 9 years old at the time. Another memorable moment was the death of the blind girl in Day of the Triffids (the black and white version). I also distinctly remember the the scene in Beneath the Planet of the Apes, when the underground dwellers (the Alpha/Omega worshipers) city is overrun by apes and two or three of them, including a woman are gunned down on the stairs...

Again, when I was younger, I saw The Damned and I was about as young as the kids in that movie... left a mark when they were all butchered.

There were several kids I used to play with and we would act that scene out. I remember there was another girl that liked to play dead with me... moved away.. wonder if she is on here now... ;^P
